On February 24, 2020, the State of Texas Veterans Affairs & Border Security Committee held a public hearing on a variety of veteran issues in Harlingen, Texas. The public hearing was followed by an appreciation barbecue for veterans, hosted by state Senators Donna Campbell and Eddie Lucio.
