Veteran Overview

There are many reasons why I am proud of my military service. Beginning my service in the Marine Corps, I am proud that I was one of the few females to serve in the Marines. I was one of three women in my unit, graduated the martial arts training course as the only woman out of 39, and, continued to be a role model for my junior female Marines. While in the Air Force, I was proud to serve as victim advocate and a Master resiliency trainer, which gave me great pride since I was helping my fellow airman through difficult times. During my eight years of active duty service, I was able to promote and recruit for both services in almost all 50 states. I felt so honored to be the face of the military in small towns where people have never seen anyone in uniform before. Now I’m proud to serve as a military spouse.
