I am proud to be the first female veteran in my family. Despite the adversity I endured, I continued to faithfully put on my uniform, willing and ready to defend this country. I continued to hold my head high with pride to be an American and an African American female Airman. I love being a Veteran, the State of Texas, the United States of America.
