Veteran Overview

I'm proud of my military service because it allowed me to pave a path for myself after growing up in the foster care system, poverty, and abuse. I was able to make something of myself in spite of what I went through. It was after 5 years of serving and educating myself in the history of America and what my country stood for, my service gave meaning for me. I was serving something bigger than myself.
