Veteran Overview

I am proud of my service my because it began before and overlapped all years of GWOT and continued until HYT for my rank. I served time as Base Honor Guard, was a DG and Academic Achievement winner at ALS and NCOA and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Some might say I "only" made rank to E-6 and I've had to stop myself from using that term, as well, because I made that rank before 10 years TIS and held it through a divorce, becoming a widow and other serious life challenges. I know how to lead and supervise but loved working middle management which allowed me to work with the lower ranks but still lead and interact with higher ranks. I don't regret not making higher ranks and I'm grateful the USAF allowed me to serve as long as I did. My only regret is ever allowing anything to cause me to question my worth and who I am.
