Veterans to connect with benefits, enjoy food and camaraderie at Tyler Resource Fair

The free, Veterans Resource Fair and Back2School Supply Drive for military children will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Tyler. The event is hosted by the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) and UT Tyler’s Military Veterans Success Center. It will be held at UT Tyler University Center Ballroom, 3900 University Boulevard, Tyler.

“We are bringing this event to the Piney Woods of Texas for veterans and their families in that area. Come join us in Tyler, the Rose Capital of America, and we will connect you with the benefits and services veterans have earned,” said Texas Veterans Commission Executive Director and Army veteran Tom Palladino.

  • Talk with TVC’s team about disability compensation, health care and employment services. Please bring a copy of DD214 for help with your VA compensation claims
  • Speak with VLB representatives on land, home and home improvement loan programs; state veterans homes and cemeteries
  • Meet the local Military Veteran Peer Network members and other local veteran service organizations, including the VA
  • Donate school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, pens, tissues, etc.
  • Enjoy dishes from local food trucks

This free event is open to veterans, active duty military and their families well as the general public.
