Veterans Stand Down in Arlington on March 20 Connects Veterans with Services, Benefits and Assistance

ARLINGTON, TX – Veterans, their families and caregivers are invited to meet the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) at the Veterans Stand Down resources event hosted by the Arlington Elks Lodge on March 20, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is free and held at the Elks Lodge located at 601 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas.

Participating organizations include representatives from the Texas Veterans Commission, Texas Veterans Land Board, HUD-VASH housing program (U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development -Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing), Tarrant County Veterans Treatment Court, PTSD Foundation of America, VA Suicide Prevention, Volunteers of America, and the Veterans Resource Center. Local veteran service organizations Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Arlington Elks Lodge to Host Veterans Stand Down Resource Event

ARLINGTON, TX — March 20, 2026

The Arlington Elks Lodge will host a Veterans Stand Down resource event on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the lodge located at 601 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas. The event is free and open to all veterans and their caregivers.

The Stand Down is designed to connect veterans with essential services, support programs, and community organizations that assist those who have served our nation. Veterans attending the event will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from a variety of federal, state, county, and nonprofit organizations that provide assistance with housing, benefits, mental health support, and other vital services.

Participating organizations include representatives from the Texas Veterans Commission, Texas Veterans Land Board, HUD-VASH housing program (U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development -Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing), Tarrant County Veterans Treatment Court, PTSD Foundation of America, VA Suicide Prevention, Volunteers of America, and the Veterans Resource Center. Local veteran service organizations Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will also be present to assist veterans with claims support, advocacy, and information about available benefits.

Veterans attending the event may receive assistance with:

VA benefits and claims guidance

• Housing assistance and homelessness prevention resources

• Mental health and peer support services

• Legal and court-related veteran support programs

• Community resource referrals and advocacy services

Lunch will be provided for attending veterans and care kits containing essential items such as socks and hygiene supplies will be distributed while supplies last.

The Arlington Elks Lodge invites all veterans and their caregivers to attend and take advantage of the many resources available during this one-day event. Veterans are asked to bring their DD-214, DOD identification or VA card. The goal of the Stand Down is to ensure that veterans know about the support available in the community and to make it easier for them to access the services they have earned through their service.
