TVC Veteran Entrepreneur Program Director and Army veteran Megan Tamez was honored by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition at its annual tribute to honoring veterans, small businesses and farmers. Their Tribute to Partnership and Impact event was held Dec. 9 in Washington D.C.

“I had a great time talking with world leaders on various subjects, and of course, receiving a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of USGLC’s Veterans for Smart Power and representing the Texas Veterans Commission Veteran Entrepreneur Program,” said Tamez.

The event was attended by U.S. Congressmen and Senators, administration officials; plus, political, military, business, and humanitarian leaders.

“I am so deeply grateful for our community, your partnership, and your impact,” USGLC President and CEO Liz Schrayer told Tamez. “It was an enormous honor to pay tribute to you and your fellow veterans, alongside America’s farmers and small business leaders; each reflecting the best of us, making our world better, and our nation safer, stronger, and more prosperous.”

“I will continue to speak out on behalf of all my brothers and sisters in arms and the importance of small business in the US and around the world,” said Tamez.
