TVC Claims Benefits Advisor (CBA) Dale Harris is a master at filing claims and getting results. In addition to his effectiveness, Harris has improved the efficiency of his whole team in San Antonio. Dale quickly became a “Duty Expert” in all things related to claims and was recently promoted.Ā As a result, his teammates have come to rely on him and seek his advice, counsel, and guidance.
āHis detailed understanding of the claims process ensured all claims submitted were accurate and timely,ā said Danny McCloskey, TVC Claims Supervisor and Marine Corps veteran. āAs the former Command Sergeant Major for the Army Cyber Command, Dale comes to us with a plethora of computer skills. With these skills he has taught his peers and supervisors many shortcuts and ways to do things more efficiently and produce better results.ā This includes claims status tracking improvements and a system to more easily find reference material for hearings or claims.
Harris further distinguished himself in his handling of the Benefits Delivered at Discharge (BDD)process.

āHe possesses a unique ability to understand and handle the Benefits Delivered at Discharge process. Although a BDD claim is no different than another, the process of preparing them without error requires the CBA to have a high level of technical acumen,ā said McCloskey.
Harris recently took on the additional assignment of representing seven veterans for their predetermination hearings. āHis closure rate was 85.7% prior to any hearing being held, making life easier for the veteran and the VA Raters.Ā His ability to conduct in-depth research and present facts to VA rating officials directly resulted the success achieved,ā said McCloskey.
Another success for Harris is shown by his getting a veteran reconnected with his claims compensation and GI BillĀ® benefits after a data base error led to the termination of his benefits. Further, it triggered the VA process to recover what he should have received, over $30,000 in benefits.
āDaleās efforts have been nothing short of outstanding,ā said McCloskey. āHe has gone above and beyond during his encounters with veterans and provided the highest level of customer service. Dale is a go-getter and uses self-discipline to see what needs to be done and initiates action. All I have to do is think real hard and Dale gets it done.ā
For his superior service to veterans and outstanding teamwork, Harris was honored with a TVC Excellence award.
Congratulations Dale!
