A veteran’s daughter whose father’s challenges with mental well-being lead her to study forensic psychology is now taking advanced class this summer at Southwestern University for her major.
The start of her college journey with the help of her father’s education benefits was first reported by E-Vets in May 2023. Read “Veteran’s challenges leads daughter to study psychology with Hazlewood benefits.”
She completed her sophomore year this spring and her father proudly sent an update and thanks to TVC Veterans Education Program Specialist (confirm title) and Air Force veteran Marcela Clay.
“I just wanted to thank you for always being available to assist me and my family! Our daughter just finished up her sophomore year at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas as a student/athlete Academic All American and she made the Dean List!”
He went on to note advanced class for her she is taking, her desire to study abroad next year and her plans for grad school.
“She is looking into grad school in Texas or possibly other universities that have the best programs but, universities that we can use and apply my military veteran benefits for financial assistance, grants and scholarships.”
To enhance her studies, she is considering internships with law enforcement agencies.
