The Governor’s Small Business Summits aim to help Texas small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs succeed by connecting them with the resources and information needed to start, strengthen, and grow a business. These events provide participants with the opportunity to network with other business owners and meet experts who will share timely, relevant, and actionable advice on a multitude of small business topics.
Watch TVC Entrepreneur Program Director and Army veteran Megan Tamez talk about what happens at the Small Business Summits and how her program can assist veterans who want to start or already own a business.
TVC’s Entrepreneur Program will be at each of the Small Business Summits, held in cities across the state from March through November, to inform veteran entrepreneurs of the services and benefits available to them. These include waiver of taxes for newly formed businesses, branding, financing and more.
“These events create the opportunity to connect with veterans who dream of starting their own business and help them make it a reality,” said Tamez. “Also, for those veterans who already have a business operating, we can help them grow it. We provide assistance with business planning, finding capital and more.”
