A Navy veteran connected with TVC Claims Benefits Advisor Willie Wilson for assistance after leaving the organization that had been representing him. According to the veteran, that organization called him a fraud and told him he would never get any benefits.
Wilson would prove them wrong.
The veteran first spoke with Wilson in August 2025 with a VA Board of Appeals hearing already scheduled for October.
“I was able to find a clear and unmistakable error on his DBQ (Disability Benefits Questionnaire),” said Wilson.
The error found on the DBQ generated from the veteran’s VA Compensation and Pension exam involved the documentation of the veteran’s retinal dystrophy.
The veteran was represented by TVC at his appeals hearing. In March 2026, the veteran and Wilson received the results.
“He was awarded retro pay of more than $313,209,” said Wilson.
The award was backdated to 2021. “A huge win for this veteran.”
