Best Cities for Veterans to live includes 12 in Texas

In November, WalletHub ranked the 100 largest U.S. cities as to their favorable environments for veterans. The ranking utilized 20 key indicators of livability, affordability and veteran-friendliness. They range from share of military skill-related jobs to veteran income growth to availability of VA health facilities. A dozen Texas cities were in the ranking including: Austin, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Laredo, Plano, Arlington, Dallas, El Paso, Lubbock, Garland, Houston and Corpus Christi. See how they fared in WalletHub’s Best Cities for Veterans.

Another top cities for veterans listing was produced by Navy Federal Credit Union. To identify its top cities, 1,000 individuals (veteran and non-military civilians) were surveyed to weigh the importance of things like cost of living, price of housing, crime rates, community diversity and outdoor recreational opportunities. Navy Federal Credit Union issued its Top 10 Best Cities After Service list in November, which included Fort Worth.
