Join Us for a Special Tribute – We are excited to invite you to participate in the upcoming Wreaths Across America event on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. This event offers a moving opportunity to honor our veterans by laying remembrance wreaths at their graves, ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.
This year, we pay special tribute to two local heroes, Captain Cloyde C. Pinson Sr. and his son, Pfc. Cloyde C. Pinson Jr., both of whom rest at this dignified cemetery. Their legacy is a powerful testament to service and sacrifice, and it is our honor to remember them.
How You Can Support – Sponsor a Wreath: Cost: $17 per wreath
Goal: Place a wreath on every grave, especially for veterans without family present.
Your generous sponsorship not only honors our fallen heroes but also supports the TCYM in teaching leadership and responsibility to our youth.
Attend and Volunteer – Date: Saturday, December 14, 2024 @ 11:00 AM CT (arrive by 9:00 due to traffic congestion, across the street from visitor center)
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX
Participation: Open to the public (volunteers are encouraged)
Weather – tends to feel cold, gloves, cap, coat recommended.
No wreaths will be laid prior to noon start time.
Spread the Word – We kindly ask you to share this invitation with your circle of influence. Your voice can help us reach more people, ensuring that the sacrifices of veterans like the Pinsons are honored by generations to come.
