My time in service was filled with learning, developing an appreciation for the little things, and discovering my passion for helping others medically. It had its ups and downs, however, through the negative situations I found myself developing more resiliency, courage, strength, and wisdom. Recognizing all that I am capable of helped me set higher standards and achieve goals while facing obstacles. Being a Corpsman (and later a surgical tech) was the best decision I could've ever made for myself.
