I am a United States Marine who honorably and faithfully served from 2001 to late 2005 while, during my second enlistment, I was medically discharged due to knee surgery. I was part of the first boots on the ground in OEF/OIF 1, in 2003 with CSSB-12. I was blessed to orders for a one year tour of duty on Okinawa, Japan, before rotating back to beautiful San Diego to “swing with the wing” at Miramar. I have plenty of military accolades and accomplishments from my tours, but my greatest accomplishment is doing what a select few have done, earning my EGA and my title of United States Marine.
