I served 4 years active duty in the Navy Nurse Corps. I treasure those days as "simpler times" with friends....before kids and burdens grew. I was stationed at Balboa hospital working on a pediatric unit and labor and delivery. I loved working alongside and training/educating the Navy corpsman. There is nothing like a corpsman in the civilian side. We worked nights and rocked sick babies and kids with cancer. It was all on the job training and I was so young and far from home. My time was easy time.....but I still signed on the dotted line for whatever the future held. I'm proud of all our veterans!!!
