Descripción general de veteranos

I have many reasons to be proud of my miltiary service. I was the 1st female in my family to serve in the military at the young age of 17; I opted to graduate high school a year earlier to serve. The travel was exciting and I loved all the countries I visited and their culture. I also loved my career as a military/security police officer and I am grateful for the education and benefits the military provided. I am happy for and will never forget the camaraderie and the diversity of people I met. Although being a young female in a male dominant field had some disadvantages, without those disadvantages, I wouldn't have become a strong, independent woman capable of handling my own. That's knowledge that I can pass on to my children and grandchildren for years to come.
