TVC Health Care Advocate Shonda Roy in Beaumont got a “High 5” in the Houston VA newsletter for the caring assistance she provided a veteran’s surviving spouse.
The VA Houston High Fives newsletter stated “Shonda did an exceptional job helping a grieving spouse trying to obtain the Veteran’s DD 214, info that was needed due to the Veteran’s death. Shonda immediately worked on filing the forms needed. She also went that extra mile to assist this spouse who brought what looked like several forms and papers in a box to the VA clinic and assisted the spouse with finding the documents she needed. From the moment Shonda addressed this grieving spouse’s request, she communicated how she could help and she made this a priority.
Shonda made what could have been a frustrating experience very calming and the spouse was appreciative and able to continue on her difficult journey. Thanks for all you do Shonda.”
Way to go Shonda and congratulation on the VA High Five.
