Recently held job fairs attracted hundreds of employment seekers and connected them with employers and TVC Veteran Employment Services.
The Law Enforcement Job Fair held on May 7, 2025 in Edinburg attracted over 289 job seekers. It featured over 40 law enforcement agencies seeking employees. It was sponsored and organized by the Lower Rio Grande WDA/Workforce Solutions.
The Bridging Careers: Resources and Job Fair hosted by San Antonio Food Bank in mid-April brought in over 470 participants.
“Hosting a table at the event enabled us to have direct outreach to veterans, ensuring timely information about the requirement to complete a Work in Texas Profile as the first step in determining eligibility for services,” said Maria Lindsey, TVC Employment Services South Texas Veterans Career Advisor (VCA) and Army veteran.
TVC’s Veteran Employment Services South Texas District team participated in both the Law Enforcement Job Fair and the Bridging Careers: Resources and Job Fair.
