The Texas Veterans Commission Veteran Entrepreneur Department created the Veteran-Owned Business (VOB) Certificate and Logo to provide a credible and reliable verifying authority that would ensure valid documentation exists of a business’ veteran ownership and control for marketing purposes, allowing those with the certification to market their business as veteran-owned without entering state or federal contracts.
Many small veteran-owned businesses want to show clients that they are owned and operated by honorable discharged veteran(s).
Obtaining the Entrepreneur Department VOB Certificate and Logo prepares the Veteran-Owned business for state and federal contracting and certification process through the Small Business Administration (SBA).
Any veteran interested in obtaining the VOB Certificate and Logo is required to submit documents to support the veteran’s application. A certified Small Business Consultant within the Entrepreneur Department will analyze all submitted documents for accuracy and legitimacy to ensure the veteran-owned business meets all eligibility and verification requirements.
